Vandanam-Subplots adapted from 1987 English movie Stakeout

Vandanam was a comedy thriller starring Mohanlal, Nedumudi Venu, Girija Shettar, Jagadish, Mukesh, Sukumari etc. The story for the movie was taken from an American crime-comedy film 'Stakeout', released in the year 1987, was directed by John Badham. The second part of the movie was 'Another Stakeout', followed in 1993. Priyadarsan remade the same movie in Telugu as 'Nirnayam' in 1991.
