Villain clears censor formalities, gearing up for release
Mohanlal’s upcoming movie Villain, directed by B Unnikrishnan, has cleared its censor formalities with a U certificate. The director himself announced this news through his official Twitter handle. However, fans are wondering how a so-called crime thriller can get a clean U certificate. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on October 27. Mohanlal plays Mathew Manjooran IPS, a retired police officer in the film while Manju Warrier plays his wife. Villain has an ensemble star-cast that includes Vishal, Raashi Khanna, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth, Aju Varghese, Siddique, and Chemban Vinod.
Popular cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa handles camera of the movie and is the first Indian film to be filmed entirely in 8K format. The audio of the movie, which consists of five songs composed by Oppam fame music group 4 Musics, was launched recently. This big budget movie is bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh under the banner of Rockline Entertainments.
