Veteran Malayalam movie actor Kalasala Babu dies at 68
Veteran actor Kalasala Babu, who was best known for portraying negative roles, died of complications from a brain stroke at Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi on Monday. He was 68. He breathed his last around 12.35 a.m. He was survived by his wife, son and daughter. He was undergoing treatment for heart related diseases since the past few months.
Babu, born to Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair and Mohiniyattam exponent Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma, started his acting career as a theater artist. His first film as an actor was Inayethedi alongside Silk Smitha. Later, he played pivotal roles in movies like Kasthooriman, Thuruppu Gulan, Puthiya Mukham, Two Countries and Queen.
