Rima plays a women forced to vacate home for Kochi Metro
Rima Kallingal, the actress known for her social activism, is all set to play PK Lathika, a textile salesgirl who had to shift her home to Aluva from Thrippunithura because of Kochi metro, in the upcoming movie titled as Arabikkadalinte Rani - The Metro Women. Interestingly, the movie, which is jointly directed by M Padmakumar and scenarist turned director S Suresh Babu, has a character inspired by the Metro Man, E Sreedharan. The movie depicts the efforts made by Lathika to meet the Metro man, who is the mentor of metro project.
Arabikkadalinte Rani also has Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley, Santhosh Keezhattoor and Srinda Arhaan in significant roles. Madhu Neelakandan handles the direction of photography. The movie is produced by V.G. Films International.
