Ranjith to make Khasakkinte Ithihasam into a movie
Popular filmmaker Ranjith is all set to direct a movie based on OV Vijayan’s bestseller Khasakkinte Ithihasam. The story follows the spiritual journey of Ravi, an under-graduate dropout. Khasakkinte Ithihasam is one of the best-selling novels in South Asia. Reportedly, script works are almost completed and the movie will go on floors by next year. However, the team is yet to finalize the star cast of the movie. Earlier, there were reports that Lijo Jose Pellissery and Mammootty are teaming up for the movie version of Khasakkinte Ithihasam, which has been put on the hold.
Meanwhile, Ranjith is currently busy with the pre-production works of his upcoming movie Bilathikadha, starring Niranj and Anu Sithara in lead roles. It also features Dileesh Pothan, Kalabhavan Shajon and Suresh Krishna in significant roles. Megastar Mammootty will be seen playing a brief cameo role in the movie. It will start rolling by the end of October and will be shot at various locations in London, Scotland, and Kerala.
