No to Suriya and Vijay - Huma Qureshi needs Mammootty
Huma Qureshi, the Bollywood actress who did interesting roles in Gangs of Wasseypur (both parts), Badlapur, Dedh Ishqiya etc., is now taking steps to Malayalam movies. Director Uday Ananthan's new film is under discussions and Mammootty and Huma Qureshi will be in lead roles.
Huma Qureshi had rejected two offers as the heroine of Suriya and Vijay. The script of the movie has attracted Huma to accept the offer and this will be the first South Indian movie of the actress. Mammootty suggested the name of Huma to the movie, says the director. Mammootty knows about all most all actor in India and Uday was shocked hearing the name of Huma. Mammootty used to remember an actor even if he/she had done a small role or appeared for 10 minutes in a film, says the director.
The movie is titled 'White' and it is the third movie of Uday as a director. His first two movies were 'Pranayakalam' and 'Mrityunjayam - Kerala Cafe' and he also assisted Ranjith for the movie 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'. The screeplay for the movie 'White' is written by Uday Ananthan, Nandini Valsan, Praveen Balakrishnan and dialogues by Bipin Chandran.
The main locations for the movie will be London and other European countries. Rahul Raj will be composing music for the movie and lyrics is by Rafeeq Ahmed. Cinematography is by Ganesh Menon.
