Mammootty’s bilingual Streetlights gearing up for release
Megastar Mammootty’s upcoming movie Streetlight directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker Shamdat Sainudheen is gearing up for a big November release. According to latest reports, the movie will hit the screens on November 23. Streetlight, which is a Malayalam – Tamil bilingual, is touted to be a crime thriller. Mammootty plays an investigation officer in the film. The movie was simultaneously shot in Malayalam and Tamil and has stars from both industries including Joy Mathew, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Indrans, Sudhi Koppa and Hareesh Perumanna, Lijomol Jose, and Manobala.
Streetlights is the debut directorial venture of Shamdat, who has worked the cinematographer of movies like Uttama Villain and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. The movie scripted by newbie Favas Muhammed. Mammootty himself has funded the movie under the banner of Playhouse Pictures.
