1. Pulimurugan (2016)
Vysakh's big budget movie Pulimurugan has broken almost all the records of Kerala box office. Before the overseas release the movie has grossed 50 crores in just 14 days from India alone. The movie is going to create history by breaking into 100 Crores when it completes its box office journey.

2. Drishyam (2013)
Mohanlal starred Drishyam had broken all Malayalam box office records by collecting a staggering 60 crores from theaters and satellite rights. The film went on to run over 100 days in many theaters and earned highest profit margin among all Malayalam films ever produced.

3. Oppam (2016)
Mohanlal - Priyadarshan movie Oppam has crossed 50 crores mark world wide before 40 days of it initial release. It became the fastest to do so by Oct 15, 2016. From the middle east itself the movie has collected 8.13 crores in 10 days. At Kerala BO, the movie crossed 40 crores in 50 days.

4. Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015)
2015 has been a good year for Malayalam Cinema as the quality of films and number of hits increased. The eternal love story of Kanchanamala and Moideen (Prithviraj) was well recieved by audience and it collected over 35 Crore till now. Film has a budget of 13 Crore and the shooting was continued for 112 days. After 73 days of running it collected over 55 Crores world wide.

5. Premam (2015)
Alphonse Puthren directed Premam has taken the Kerala boxoffice by storm. Shows in many centers has been increased due to audience demands. It became the fastest Malayalam film to cross 20 crore mark in fewer days. It is now became the highest grossing ($178K USD) malayalam film in USA by beating Drishyam's Record.

6. Two Countries (2015)
Another film from 2015 has made into top list of highest grossing Malayalam movie of all time, Two countries. It was directed by Shafi and produced by M Renjith. Though it was released along with Dulquer Salman movie Charlie, the film got huge family audience from first day itself. It collected 10 Crores in the second week itself. After its final run the film collected over 55 Crores from the Boxoffice.

The collection dipped low after two weeks because of the comedy filled Dileep's comedy flick Two countires.

Mammootty starrer ‘Pazhassi Raja’ is the costliest films ever made in the Malayalam till now. Cost of production for this epic movie was 27 Crores. Since the Malayalam Film market is very small compared to Tamil and Hindi it was able to collect only 23.2 Crores. Though film was highly accepted by audience, it was financially a flop movie.

The film was made of 7.5 crore budget and collected a whopping 25 crores after its final run, which is quite high for family entertainer.
