Best Malayalam Actress of 2015 - Year End Review
Malayalam film industry is well known for the female character roles in the films. Not many lanuguages in India give such importance to woman in their cinema. This year we have witnessed some strong performance from our actresses in various films. Parvathy, Lena, Anusree, Amala Paul done brilliantly in at least one of their films this year. 1. Parvathy - 8/10
Undoubtedly the best actress in this year. Her performances in Ennu Ninte Moideen and Charlie were excellent. She has manoeuvred a difficult role of a living person with such intensity and flair. Though she has not much to do in hero centric movie Charlie her performance was very pleasing. In the coming year we can expect more challenging roles played by this gifted and beautiful actress. Due to her outstanding performances she has got a big fan followers in Kerala already.
2.Lena - 8/10
Lena had an outstanding year in 2015. She has delivered astounding performances in the films like Alif, Kanyaka Talkies, Ennu Ninte Moideen and The Reporter. She has been known for her matured approach for playing character roles for some time. But this year she has got more challenging roles to showcase her calibre. Critics showered praises to her performance in Kanyaka talkies by stating the her performance was a delight to watch in the movie.
3. Anusree - 7/10
With strong performances in various films Anusree has raised the bar of expectation. Her performances in Chandrettan Evideya as an over concerned wife attracted critical acclaim. Over the last two years she has been giving better performances. In Rajamma@yahoo she brings some sparkles on scree with her presense.

4. Manju warrier - 7/10
Manju Warrier never disappoints Malayalam audiences. This year she had three releases and her performances were excellent in those films. But everyone feels that she has got stereotyped on her return to Malayalam Cinema. She have to do different kinds of roles to make her comeback a worthy one. She has given a controlled act in Ennum Eppozhum and Rani Padmini. In both films she was doing women-in-woe characters. Only Jo and the Boy gave some hint of old Manju warrier.
5. Amala Paul 6.5/10
Amala Paul had a mixed fortunes in 2015. She started the year with an outstanding act in Rajesh Pillai's drama movie Mili, in which she portrayed an insecure and lonely girl who find herself later. In the film she has delivered a subtle performances which is considered here career best performance in Malayalam so far. Her other film Laila O Laila was a forgettable one, in which she has to act as the script demanded.
6. Sai Pallavi - 6/10
With one film in her credits she has stolen the heart of many youngsters in Kerala. Her performance in Premam as a teacher was a much controlled and pleasing to watch. For a debutant actor to provide such an awesome and impressive performance was not a small thing in Industry like Malayalam. She has got a big fan base in Kerala soon after the release of Premam. She will be appearing in Dulquer Salman's Next film Kali directed by Samir Thahir.
7. Jewel Mary - 4/10
With two films under her credits, Jewel Mary delivered decent performance as a debutant. Her act in Utopiyayile Rajavu drawn much interest to audiences. In Pathemari she did not have much role in the story but her performance was decent.
